Who do I give my sweatshirt to?

This could be someone living on the streets, a classmate/ coworker who is struggling financially, or even a friend having a rough week. The goal is simply to bless and encourage a fellow human being.

How do I give the sweatshirt off my back?

We mean this literally. So wear your sweatshirt, and when you see the opportunity and the time is right, take your sweatshirt off and give it away. Then take the time to get to know this person. Get coffee and hear their story. Encourage them to do the same with their new sweatshirt.

How many replacement sweatshirts can I get?

We provide one replacement sweatshirt for each purchased sweatshirt. So if you give away a sweatshirt that was given to you, then unfortunately you do not qualify for a replacement.

Does free really mean free?

Yes! Give the P1124 sweatshirt off your back, tell us about your experience, and we will give you a new one for absolutely free! Replacement sweatshirts can be picked up at the P1124 headquarters in Orange County, Ca. Shipping is also available for an extra fee.

But doesn’t real generosity require sacrifice? If people give knowing they will be compensated, isn’t the meaning of giving tainted?

We agree that this replacement guarantee can taint the initial giving experience. That is why challenge you to also give your replacement sweatshirt away. But this time, we won’t give you a replacement.

If we are honest, a very small minority of us of us would be selfless enough to give away the sweatshirt we just paid $50 for. This is because we have not yet experienced the joy of giving. We want to create that first taste because we know that once we understand, generosity will become a lifestyle.

And we don’t expect the sweatshirt to remain with the second owner for long. We believe that over time, the sweatshirt will have rested on multiple backs. Since only the initial giver will receive a replacement, every additional owner will have the opportunity to partake in untainted giving.

What is the point of all this?

We are all about challenging the status quo. We love ideas that make absolutely no sense to normal people. On of our crazy ideas is that the best things in life are meant to be shared. That instead of hoarding, we should give away our prized possessions. Thats why we started The Sweatshirt Off My Back. People are itching for an opportunity to do something radical. They just need to be shown how. We hope that sharing a sweatshirt is just the tip of the iceberg. That after being empowered to share a sweatshirt, people will be inspired to make radical generosity a lifestyle.

Do you accept debit / credit card?

YES! How to pay with debit / credit card: Go all the way through the check out process, and when prompted, choose "Pay on PayPal." Then choose, "pay with a debit or credit card."

Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?

We sure do!

How long will it take to receive my order?

Once shipped most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 12 weeks.
